I wanted to take a few minutes and wish everyone a wonderful, healthy, and prosperous 2010.  And I also wanted to thank each of you for your support and sponsorship in our 1st year of existence as a Club. 

As I look back over 2009 I have witnessed an organization growing from an idea and concept to a reality.  Let me take a minute to review some of the highlights of 2009. 

1).    Established an organization with a constitution and by-laws.

2).    Become an affiliated ARRL Amateur Radio Club.

3).    Grown in membership to an end of year total of 70

4).    Won 1st Place in the Georgia QSO Party.

5).    Won 2nd Place in the Missouri QSO Party (1st Place was won by Club member AB0QN)

6).    Won 1st Place Section and 3rd Place 10th Call Area in the CQWW 160M CW Contest (Club members K4NV and N4DA accomplishment of 1ST Place Multi-Operator SSB Georgia, 19th Place in the World, 8th Place in North America, 6th Place in the United States, and #1 in the 4th Call Area) 

7).    Through collaboration with K0DEW Bill Wheeler, launched the concept for hosting the 2011 W0 DXConvention in the Missouri region which has resulted in the KCDX Club hosting and the Missouri DX/Contest and Lebanon Amateur Radio Clubs as co-sponsors. 

Quite a year I would say!   

2010 will be another exciting year.  K4GOE our Club Contest Director, is establishing the 2010 Contest Calendar and with your input will finalize it and have it out within the next few days.  Please send Al an email if you have specific contest you would like to see the Missouri DX/Contest Club participate in as a Club. almullis@earthlink.net
