2008 Election

To all who are concerned!

OBAMA TAXES:

I am very concerned and actually very dismayed at Americans in our great country who have over time been convinced or maybe brain-washed to believe it is OK to increase taxes on our paychecks.  The question I continue to ask myself is when did it become the right of our government to continue take our hard earned money just so they can give it away to countries who hate us?  And why do our elected officials continue to take our money and spend it on pet projects in their districts?  Why do we continue to support these politicians with our votes, regardless of political orientation?

Both Hillary Clinton and Obama are very forthcoming to the fact they are very willing to take more of our hard earned money so they can fund UN projects, give it to government sponsored social programs that traditionally have been extremely wasteful and corrupt, fund local pet projects that do nothing but put the money the hands of a very few at the expense of tax payers, believe that a socially motivated and government run medical healthcare program will cure the problems of healthcare in America (I lived in London and have witnessed how dysfunctional a national healthcare system is), want to increase the invasiveness of government in the lives of the citizens of America, and are not willing themselves to be subjected to the tax burden, retirement plans, or healthcare everyone else must accept!  Many do not realize that elected officials usually only have to serve 2 terms to get a retirement plan and health benefits!  THAT IS RIDICULOUS!!!  Obviously the vast majority of Americans are not that fortunate!  So why should politicians be that fortunate?

Here is an example of Obama's tax plan as noted by Larry Kudlow:  The Wall Street Journal’s Steve Moore has done the math on Obama’s tax plan. He says it will add up to a 39.6 percent personal income tax, a 52.2 percent combined income and payroll tax, a 28 percent capital-gains tax, a 39.6 percent dividends tax, and a 55 percent estate tax http://www.kudlow.com

So why are Americans so blind to what is going on?  It is very possible that it may be as simple as the long term subjection and indoctrination by the liberally biased media via television and the lack of Americans willingness to read and investigate on their own. One of the latest examples is the news media promoting the fact of the "younger" generation being so enthusiastic in their support of Obama.  Why would the media not report that the vast majority are college students are generally very idealistic and don't pay taxes!  And that they are being supported by parents who pay their way and all the taxes.  The other support that Obama is getting is in my view a vote on the Democratic side against Hillary who has been reported for years to have an extraordinary temper and is fundamentally a socialist wanting government increased control and rule.  (Security/liberties: Clinton supported the interests of the American Civil Liberties Union 83% in 2005-2006, 78% in 2003-2004, 60% in 2001-2002).

One other point on Obama; is anyone considering that Obama was raised as a Muslim and that is most likely his fundamental belief system?  The Muslim religious indoctrination is a strong negative from my point of view and should be considered.  Obama will have to use the Bible to be sworn in as President and confirm his allegiance to the United States. Will he insist on the Koran in addition to the Bible?

Here is the latest example of Obama:  "Presidential frontrunner Barack Obama is pushing a bill that will lead to the implementation of a UN global tax, costing the U.S. at least $845 billion dollars over thirteen years in the name of fighting worldwide poverty, as well as banning "small arms and light weapons".

So now we turn to Senator McCain.  Here is an interesting person.  Senator McCain has spent his life working for the government.  He has without question an extraordinary military experience and by all rights can be considered a "hero" because of his POW experience.  But Senator McCain has his own negatives.  It has been reported for years of his temper and lack of willingness to be collaborative unless it is his idea that is being adopted.  He is a moderate politically.

McCain is much more conservative on taxes.  McCain’s weakness is on his platform and views on immigration.  McCain's economic policies are not as conservative as I would like and he would not be my first choice but compared to Hillary and Obama, he would be the obvious best choice to vote for in November 2008.

I wish all of us good fortune going forward.  I hope, possibly beyond hope, that whoever is elected, the person will be good for America with a strong position on defense, economics, and fiscal policy. We need someone who supports a STRONG DOLLAR

So it is time for all us to consider contacting our elected officials, friends, relatives, neighbors, and enlighten them to the fact that a vote for either Obama or Hillary Clinton for president will mean personal taxes will increase, freedoms will decrease, we will see increased government spending, the destruction of the greatest healthcare system in the world, and UN Control.

Obama supports this U.N. position and will increase our taxes:  ("Jeffrey Sachs, who runs the U.N.’s "Millennium Project," says that the U.N. plan to force the U.S. to pay 0.7 percent of GNP in increased foreign aid spending would add $65 billion a year to what the U.S. already spends. Over a 13-year period, from 2002, when the U.N.’s financing for Development conference was held, to the target year of 2015, when the U.S. is expected to meet the "Millennium Development Goals," this amounts to $845 billion. And the only way to raise that kind of money, Sachs has written, is through a global tax, preferably on carbon-emitting fossil fuels.").  MORE TAXES!!  WHY???

If you wish to investigate more I would suggest there are many websites where you can view the candidates.  One of the websites http://www.selectsmart.com/president/2008/comparethem.html  Also I would suggest Larry Kudlow's website at www.kudlow.com

Sincerely,

Ron Lowrance
